If you're not feeling up to hitting the slopes, there are skate rentals for the outdoor skating rink at Spruce Peak. Then, warm up by one of the firepits at the pergolas!
In the "Mountain Info" section of the website (The Mountain > About the Mountain under the drop down menu) scroll through to find "Winter Adventures." There you can find information on other activities such as dogsledding, cross country skiing, and snow-shoeing.
There are plenty of options for Apres Ski food and drinks around the resort. From the WhistlePig Pavilion to the Tipsy Trout, you can't go wrong!
Is it just the wedding, or is there romance in the air? Looking for a nice couples activity? Head to Gentle Giants Sleigh Rides, they offer wonderful horse drawn sleigh and carriage rides. You will even see the very site where Ryan proposed to Krissie, inspired by their first ever trip to Vermont together!
Snowmobile Vermont offers an adventurous 25 mile journey through the Mount Mansfield State forest for both beginner and advanced riders. Rev your engines for this 2 hour ride!
Head to the home of the famous Heady Topper, one of Vermont's best microbrews! The Alchemist Brewery is just down the road from the mountain. They have great beer, live music, and awesome food trucks.
If you know Krissie, you know that one of her favorite movies is The Sound of Music. The actual Von Trapp family settled in Vermont, as it reminded them of their home in Austria. Tour the grounds and hear their harrowing story, then head over to the brewery and bierhall.
Vermont is truly home to some of the best microbrews around. Idletyme Brewing on Mountain Road is another great stop. Formerly "The Shed Brewery", built in an old blacksmith shop, this is where Ryan and his older brother Mike would stop after every trip to Stowe for apres ski on their way back to Burlington.
Housed in an 1820's farmhouse, this stylish lodge and bistro is just 2.6 miles from downtown Stowe. Very cozy spot for dinner.
Late night weddings and mountain moguls may ache my bones, but Whip Bar & Grill excites me. If you're staying downtown at The Green Mountain Inn, head downstairs for casual dining in a charming atmosphere.
Come visit the very first Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, Vermont. The only site open to the public, this factory continues to manufacture upwards of 350,000 pints per day. You can even see the graveyard of retired flavors!
Stroll along the picturesque and quaint Main Street in downtown Stowe. Just 6 miles from the resort, grab a coffee from one of the many cafes on Main Street and walk across the covered bridge. Explore some of the many galleries such as The Current on Pond St, Northwood on Main, or the Bryan Fine Art Gallery on Main.
